Summer is here! Many gym goers can relate to the itch to get out of the gym and the monotony of running on a treadmill, opting to take their workouts outside to the park.
There are more people these days taking advantage of fitness technology and bringing their workouts outside. Apps on your phone make it very easy to follow or track workouts. “Anti-Gym” is a real trend we are seeing in the fitness industry. Fitness enthusiasts are beginning to take a look at the traditional gym model and are saying ‘I can work out on my own.’
I see all kinds of workouts done at the park, including walking, sprints, jogging, calisthenics and body weight training. Preference is the key. There is more than one way to reach your fitness goal. First, you have to decide what your goal is and then what exercises you need to achieve it.
We have created a consumer model, the MCore TS4, which is a foldable, portable version of the training station. You can easily transport this model in your car to your local park. All you need are some bands and small weights and you can work out as if you were at the gym. The unlimited programming can turn an outdoor workout into something even more dynamic and fun!
Below are some sample workouts you can do outdoors, using the consumer model. If you do not have the consumer model you can substitute the exercises on the TS4 by doing them standing.
